PhotoArtGraphy’s Model for a Day Parties combine professional photography, posing guidance, creativity, dress-up fun, and plenty of personality into an experience designed especially for children and teens. Instead of simply hiring a photographer to document a party, the photography itself becomes part of the entertainment.
Participants can bring favorite outfits, accessories, jackets, hats, costumes, or other age-appropriate items and take turns stepping in front of the camera. I’ll professionally photograph them while helping with poses, expressions, movement, and interaction. They can pose individually, with best friends, in small groups, and together as an entire party.
And after the celebration, the host family receives access to a private, password-protected online gallery of professionally selected and edited photographs from the experience.

More Than a Birthday Party Photo Booth
A Model for a Day Party isn’t a traditional photo booth. I’m not simply setting up a camera and backdrop and asking everyone to stand in the same place and smile. I’m an experienced photographer and creative instructor, and I’ll actively work with the participants throughout the experience.
Depending on their ages, personalities, and interests, I can help them experiment with posing, facial expressions, posture, movement, camera angles, group interaction, and different ways of presenting themselves naturally and confidently in photographs.
For younger children, the experience can be playful and energetic. We might experiment with silly poses, dramatic poses, movement, best-friend photographs, favorite accessories, and plenty of opportunities to be creative.
With tweens and teens, the experience can feel more like participating in an actual portrait or modeling-inspired photo shoot, with more attention to posing, expressions, movement, individual style, and camera confidence.
No previous modeling or posing experience is needed.
Designed for Ages 6 & Up
Model for a Day Parties are designed primarily for children, tweens, and teens ages 6 and older, when participants are generally able to follow simple posing direction and enjoy being part of a structured photography experience.
Every group is different, so the photography and posing guidance can be adjusted to fit the ages, personalities, and comfort levels of the participants. Some kids naturally love being in front of a camera. Others may be quieter or initially unsure of themselves. That’s okay.
The goal isn’t to make everyone pose or perform the same way. It’s to create a relaxed environment where participants can have fun, experiment, express some personality, and enjoy being photographed with their friends.
Dress Up, Change Outfits & Create Different Looks
One of the fun parts of a Model for a Day Party is giving participants an opportunity to create different looks. Kids and teens are welcome to bring multiple outfits, accessories, hats, jackets, costumes, or other age-appropriate items they would enjoy incorporating into the photo experience.
Depending on the party, that might mean favorite everyday outfits, dressier clothing, dancewear, sports-inspired looks, coordinated colors, themed clothing, or simply several outfits they love. The number of looks photographed will depend on the number of participants, available changing space, and the length of the photography experience.
The host family can also build the entire celebration around a theme. Some possibilities might include:
- Hollywood or Red Carpet
- Fashion-Inspired
- Pop Star
- Favorite Decade
- Dance
- Sports Fashion
- Pajama Party
- Favorite Color or Coordinated Color Theme
- Costume or Character-Inspired
- Or simply “Come Dressed as Yourself!”
The theme is completely optional. A group of friends with several favorite outfits and a desire to have fun in front of the camera is more than enough.
Individual Photos, Best Friends & Group Shots
Throughout the experience, I’ll work to create a variety of photographs rather than simply repeating the same pose with every participant.
Depending on the group and available time, photographs may include:
- Individual portraits
- Modeling-inspired poses
- Best-friend and two-person photographs
- Small-group photographs
- Full-party group photographs
- Movement and action shots
- Serious, dramatic, playful, and silly expressions
- Different outfits and accessories
- Special photographs featuring the birthday child or guest of honor
The goal is to create a gallery that captures both the individual personalities of the participants and the fun they had together.
Your Home Becomes the Photo Shoot Location
PhotoArtGraphy is completely mobile, so there’s no need to bring an entire birthday party to a photography studio.
I bring the photography experience to you.
Before the event, I’ll work with the host family to determine what kind of photography setup makes the most sense for the home, venue, party theme, and available space.
For some parties, I can bring a portable backdrop and professional mobile studio lighting to create a studio-inspired photography area. For others, we may decide that an existing part of the property makes a much more interesting setting. That could be a decorated room, staircase, porch, landscaped yard, patio, barn, field, interesting wall, or another photogenic part of the party location.
If the weather and property allow, we can potentially incorporate both indoor and outdoor photographs. I’ll arrive before the scheduled photography experience to allow time for equipment setup and preparation.
It Doesn’t Have to Be a Birthday!
Despite the name “party,” there doesn’t have to be a birthday or even a traditional party. A Model for a Day experience can be a creative activity anytime a group of kids or teens would enjoy dressing up, spending time together, and participating in a professional photo shoot.
Possibilities include birthday celebrations, sleepovers, best-friend get-togethers, cheer or dance groups, homeschool groups, theater friends, graduation celebrations, youth groups, family gatherings, or simply a special day planned around the photography experience. If you have a group and an idea, feel free to ask.
Professional Photography + Posing Guidance
A big part of what makes this experience different is that PhotoArtGraphy combines professional photography with experience teaching modeling and posing. Participants don’t need to know what to do when they step in front of the camera. That’s my job.
I’ll help them with age-appropriate posing and direction throughout the experience. Depending on the participant, that might include where to place their hands, how to shift their weight, how to use facial expressions, how to create movement, how to interact with another person in a photograph, or simply how to relax and stop worrying about the camera.
For younger participants, much of that direction may feel more like playing a game than receiving a posing lesson. Older participants who are interested in modeling, dance, acting, cheer, performance, social media content, or simply becoming more comfortable in photographs can explore those skills in greater depth.
The emphasis is always on creativity, fun, confidence & age-appropriate expression.
After the Party: A Private Online Photo Gallery
The experience doesn’t end when I pack up the cameras and lighting. After the event, I’ll professionally select and edit photographs from the session and make the finished images available through a private, password-protected online gallery. The host family can then access the photographs and share the appropriate gallery information with participating families.
Digital downloads of the included finished photographs are part of the Model for a Day Party experience. This means the participants aren’t just leaving with memories of something fun they did together – they’ll also have professionally photographed images from the experience.
Parent/Guardian Permission & Photo Privacy
Because Model for a Day Parties may involve photographing several unrelated children or teens, parent/guardian permission is important. Before the event, the host family and PhotoArtGraphy will coordinate the information needed for participating families so that appropriate permission can be obtained for minors who will be photographed. I’ll make this process as straightforward as possible for the host family.
Your child’s participation in a Model for a Day Party does not automatically give PhotoArtGraphy permission to publicly share their photographs. Finished photographs will be provided through the private, password-protected online gallery described above. PhotoArtGraphy will not publish photographs of your child on the PhotoArtGraphy website, blog, social media accounts, or other public-facing marketing materials without specific permission from a parent or guardian.
From time to time, I may ask a parent or guardian for permission to feature a particular photograph from a Model for a Day experience. Granting that permission is completely optional and is not required to participate in the party or receive your photographs.
A responsible adult must remain present at the party or event while minors are being photographed.
Meet Your Photographer: Drew Jensen
I’m Drew Jensen, owner and photographer behind PhotoArtGraphy. I’ve been involved with photography and creative work for more than 30 years, and I’ve spent approximately three decades working with and instructing middle school and high school students.
In addition to photography, my creative background includes acting, theater, stage magic, comedy, ventriloquism, interpretive speech, dramatic production, and working with young people in a variety of creative and performance settings.
That combination is particularly helpful for something like a Model for a Day Party because my role isn’t simply to operate a camera. I need to interact with the participants, give posing direction, keep things moving, help quieter participants become comfortable, encourage creativity, and make the photography itself enjoyable.
I’m also a husband and father of three young adult sons. My wife is a schoolteacher, and we live in New Freedom, Pennsylvania, just a few minutes from I-83 and the Maryland state line. My approach is relaxed, upbeat, encouraging, and hands-on.

Model for a Day Party Experience – $495
Includes:
- Up to 2 hours of professional photography
- Pre-party consultation and planning
- Mobile photography setup and professional lighting as appropriate

- Outfit and accessory changes as time allows
- Special attention to the birthday child or guest of honor when applicable

Additional Photography Time: $150 per hour
Two hours works well for many gatherings, but larger groups, numerous outfit changes, elaborate setups, or families wanting a more extensive photography experience may benefit from additional time.

Travel & Service Area
PhotoArtGraphy is based in New Freedom, Pennsylvania and regularly serves Southern York County, PA and nearby areas of Northern Maryland, including portions of Harford, Baltimore, and Carroll Counties.
Model for a Day Parties are an on-location experience, with PhotoArtGraphy bringing the photography setup to your home or event location. Travel within 10 miles of New Freedom, PA is included in the $495 party price. For locations more than 10 miles from New Freedom, an additional travel fee of $1 per mile round trip applies to the mileage beyond the included local service area.
If you’re outside the immediate service area but interested in planning a Model for a Day Party, you’re still welcome to contact me. Depending on the location and event, additional travel may be possible.
Is a Model for a Day Party Right for Your Group?
This experience can be especially fun for a child or teen who loves dressing up, taking pictures, experimenting with different styles, performing, dancing, cheerleading, acting, creating content, or simply spending time with friends.
But participants don’t have to consider themselves models – or even be particularly comfortable in front of a camera. Sometimes the most rewarding part of the experience is watching someone who initially says, “I don’t know how to pose,” begin to relax, experiment, laugh, and discover that being photographed can actually be fun.
