PhotoArtGraphy is more than a photography business – it’s a creative experience designed to capture real moments, encourage self-expression, and build confidence.
Based in New Freedom, Pennsylvania, right along the Pennsylvania-Maryland border, I work with children, teens, families, individuals, performers, athletes, organizations, and businesses throughout Southern Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. I offer personalized photography, videography, filmmaking, along with creative workshops.
While PhotoArtGraphy serves a wide range of clients, there is a special focus at the heart of the work: helping people feel comfortable being themselves and, particularly with young people, encouraging confidence through creativity and self-expression.
Hi, I’m Drew Jensen
I’m a photographer, videographer, filmmaker, artist, and performer with over 30 years of experience capturing meaningful moments and working in creative environments with young people.
I’m also a husband and father of three young adult sons. My wife, Becky, is a schoolteacher and a wonderfully creative person in her own right, so creativity, education, and working with young people have long been part of our family life. The family photo above was taken at our oldest son’s wedding in 2026.
My own creative background goes far beyond photography. Over the years, I’ve performed as an actor, stage magician, comedian, and ventriloquist in schools, churches, and nonprofit settings. I’ve also directed drama productions, written and developed creative projects, and mentored teens in a variety of environments.
Earlier in life, I spent time as a camp counselor and worked extensively with teens during my college and graduate school years. I’ve continued working with, teaching, encouraging, and mentoring young people throughout my career.
Those experiences have shaped the way I work behind the camera today. I know that not everyone naturally feels comfortable being photographed – especially children and teens. I want sessions to feel relaxed enough that personalities can emerge naturally rather than asking someone to simply stand in front of a camera and manufacture a smile.
More Than Just Photos & Videos
Throughout my career, I’ve photographed children, families, seniors, dancers, performers, athletes, businesses, organizations, and events, while also creating video content that helps tell those stories in even greater depth.
But some of the most meaningful moments haven’t simply been about the finished photos or videos. They’ve been about what happens during the experience.
Helping someone come out of their shell. Seeing a child forget that a camera is there and simply have fun. Watching a teenager become more comfortable in front of the camera. Capturing the personality of a senior, the movement of a dancer, the intensity of an athlete, or a genuine interaction between family members.
Those are often the moments that produce the photographs I value most.
How PhotoArtGraphy Became Something More
After decades of working with young people in creative, educational, and performance settings, I began to recognize something important: creative expression can influence much more than what someone creates or how someone looks in a photograph. It can change how people see themselves.
Confidence grows. Barriers come down. People become more willing to experiment, take creative risks, and express who they really are.
That realization helped shape PhotoArtGraphy into what it is today and continues to influence everything I offer – whether through photography, videography, filmmaking, workshops, or other creative experiences.
What PhotoArtGraphy Offers
PhotoArtGraphy is built around two connected experiences:
Creative, Personalized Photography & Videography
A relaxed, personalized photography and videography experience designed to bring out real emotion, personality, movement, and connection.
Sessions aren’t about forcing everyone into the same poses or expecting artificial smiles. The goal is to create an environment where people can become comfortable enough to be themselves and where the resulting photographs and videos reflect something genuine.
PhotoArtGraphy offers children’s photography, senior portraits, family photography, dance and sports photography, event coverage, commercial photography, videography, and other creative visual projects.
Because PhotoArtGraphy is mobile rather than tied to a traditional studio, sessions can take place in locations that fit the person and the story – including homes, farms, parks, fields, dance studios, schools, businesses, downtown settings, scenic outdoor locations, private properties, and other meaningful places.
Teen Creative Workshops (Ages 12–19)
PhotoArtGraphy also offers hands-on, one-on-one or small-group creative experiences designed to help teens grow in confidence, creativity, communication & self-expression.
Workshop areas include:

These aren’t large classes. They’re personalized experiences where teens can explore something creative, take appropriate risks, learn new skills, and build confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment.
My Approach
Everything I do – whether I’m behind the camera, creating video, directing a short film, or leading a workshop – is built around one basic idea: people do their best when they feel comfortable being themselves. That means no pressure to be perfect, no forced performance, and no one-size-fits-all experience.
Photography sessions can be playful, quiet, adventurous, artistic, energetic, or completely relaxed depending on the person being photographed. I’m also very flexible about locations. Rather than requiring clients to come to a traditional studio, I travel to homes, studios, businesses, outdoor locations, and other settings where we can create something interesting together.
The objective isn’t simply to produce technically good photographs. It’s to create an enjoyable experience and images that actually feel like the people in them.

A Safe, Professional Environment
I maintain current Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History and Child Abuse clearances, and a responsible adult is always required to be present for photography & videography sessions involving minors.
Looking Ahead
PhotoArtGraphy continues to grow beyond photography into a broader creative vision: a dedicated space where young people can consistently explore, learn, create, and build confidence through photography, videography, filmmaking, and performance-based experiences.
There is also a growing goal to provide scholarship opportunities so that financial circumstances don’t prevent a young person who genuinely wants to participate from having access to creative experiences.
For now, PhotoArtGraphy remains intentionally mobile – offering photography sessions, videography services, filmmaking, and workshops while bringing those experiences directly to clients and to comfortable, interesting, and meaningful locations throughout the area.
